Staten Island Nightlife: Scenes from a ‘marvy party’ in West Brighton

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It’s often refreshing to party on a Wednesday — the day that falls right smack in the middle of the week — and the half-way mark that helps pull out an ordinary week, so to speak.

Over in West Brighton, quite the party abounded in LiGreci’s Staaten — the West Brighton banquet spot where on Wednesday evening Elissa Montanti, founder of the Global Medical Relief Fund — hosted an “Evening of Hope” — a “marvy party,” for the organization she holds so near and dear to her heart.

For those who aren’t aware, their mission is to provide vital medical care, prosthetics and rehabilitation to children — often victims of war — who come to Staten Island from war-torn or natural disaster countries for medical treatment. The organization not only provides care, but compassion and access to free medical treatments.
